Ashville strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They skirted past the Jacksonville Golden Eagles 64-61. The 64-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ashville had a senior duo take command as JB Potter went 8-for-18 to rack up 23 points in addition to five boards and five steals and Parker Smith shot 64% from the field en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. Potter is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Parker Jackson, who posted six points and eight boards.

Ashville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Ashville's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Jacksonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Ashville will be playing at home against Hokes Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jacksonville, they will head out to challenge Alexandria at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
