Baseball Recap: Hagerty Takes Down Winter Park in a Playoff Battle

Hagerty had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Winter Park Wildcats on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Thursday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Hagerty got a great performance from N. Adkins as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Adkins has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, I. Torres was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was R. Foscolo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Hagerty's record now sits at 27-5-1. As for Winter Park, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-6.

As of now, neither Hagerty nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
