Basketball Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

Decatur suffered their biggest defeat since January 15, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Greenforest Eagles, falling 63-39. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Greenforest, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Decatur is taking a road trip to square off against Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamblee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Decatur likes a good challenge. As for Greenforest, they will take on Liberty Magnet at 1:40 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Magnet will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Greenforest surely won't give up without a fight.
