Softball Game Preview: Aspermont Hornets vs. Hamlin Pied Pipers

The Aspermont Hornets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Hamlin Pied Pipers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Saturday, Aspermont came up short against Hamlin and fell 19-15.

For Hamlin's part, they got a massive performance out of Kinzlee Gruben, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave Gruben a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dariana Lee, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Hamlin's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Aspermont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
