Baseball Game Preview: Brown County Hornets vs. Hamilton/Warsaw Titans

The Brown County Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Brown County is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Brown County took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pittsfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Saukees a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since April 25, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hamilton/Warsaw didn't have quite enough to beat Havana on Thursday and fell 4-3. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brown County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Brown County suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Hamilton/Warsaw when the teams last played back in May of 2017. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
