Football Game Preview: Pequannock Golden Panthers vs. Sussex County Tech

The Pequannock Golden Panthers will venture away from home to face off against Sussex County Tech at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Pequannock lost to Madison at home by a 28-14 margin.

Meanwhile, Sussex County Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 63-26 loss at the hands of High Point. While losing is never fun, Sussex County Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 294th, while High Point is ranked 134th).

Sussex County Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pequannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Pequannock took their win against Sussex County Tech in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 32-7 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Sussex County Tech's Brian Gruber, who rushed for 141 yards and one score.
