Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional North Meteors vs. Reavis Rams

Thornton Fractional North had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it four. They came up short against the Reavis Rams, falling 17-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Meteors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Stephanie Montiel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

As for Reavis, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games.

On Reavis' side, Marissa Lombardo was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave Lombardo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Welsh, who went 4-for-5 with five runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Thornton Fractional North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-9 defeat against Thornton Fractional South on the 5th. As for Reavis, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 2nd.
