Basketball Game Preview: Lebanon Greyhounds vs. Steeleville Warriors

Lebanon hasn't had much luck against Steeleville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lebanon Greyhounds are taking a road trip to challenge the Steeleville Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Lebanon came up short against Mulberry Grove and fell 73-63.

Despite the loss, Lebanon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Deion Washington posted 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Washington has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Burger, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Steeleville played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Carlyle, falling 52-30. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Steeleville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Lebanon was taken down by Steeleville 82-43 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Lebanon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
