Baseball Game Preview: Oakwood Owls vs. Trinity Classical Academy Knights

Oakwood is 0-3 against Trinity Classical Academy since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Oakwood Owls will head out on the road to challenge the Trinity Classical Academy Knights at 3:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Oakwood was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Crossroads 5-3.

Meanwhile, Trinity Classical Academy posted their closest win since March 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Western Christian. The three-run effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jordan Lovelace was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Aiden Visconti also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Oakwood's record now sits at 6-1. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their record is now 4-1.

Oakwood came up short against Trinity Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 4-1. Can Oakwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
