Softball Recap: West Noble Chargers vs. Westview Warriors

West Noble had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-9 to make it six. They came up short against the Westview Warriors, falling 21-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Westview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 19, 2022, but that streak is no more.

For Westview's part, Janissa Lehman made a splash while hitting and pitching. Gilbert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Briana Kaufman, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

West Noble has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Churubusco on the 24th. As for Westview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-0 defeat against Central Noble on the 23rd.
