Basketball Recap: Southmoore Takes a Loss

Southmoore lost against Yukon back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southmoore SaberCats had to suffer through a 62-26 loss at the hands of the Yukon Millers. The SaberCats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.

Yukon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Haydin Bowman out in front who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalli Harbeson, who earned ten points and five steals.

Southmoore dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Yukon, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Southmoore and East Central will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Yukon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edmond Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
