Bishop O'Connell put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Archbishop Carroll Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop O'Connell took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-11, 25-12.

Sofie Giannelli was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Giannelli wasn't the only good servers: Bishop O'Connell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Bishop O'Connell's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Archbishop Carroll, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
