Baseball Recap: Franklin Pierce Takes a Loss

If Franklin Pierce was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Washington last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the North Kitsap Vikings by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Cardinals couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Franklin Pierce saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Sledge, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Sledge has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
