South Point is 8-2 against Dawson-Bryant since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Pointers will welcome the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Dawson-Bryant took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on South Point, who comes in off a win.

South Point took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Chesapeake. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant lost 15-1 to Portsmouth on Monday. The Hornets have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Dawson-Bryant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Murphy, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Dawson-Bryant now has a losing record of 1-2. As for South Point, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

South Point beat Dawson-Bryant 12-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Pointers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
