Sycamore got a big performance out of Jordan Briscoe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave Briscoe a new career-high. Hazen Shirer also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Sycamore, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Lawson's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Lightning have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 stolen bases per game.
