Softball Recap: Whitmire Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union County, Whitmire was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the McCormick Chiefs get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Wolverines have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Whitmire is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for McCormick, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Whitmire beat the Chiefs by a score of 17-0 later that day.
