After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mankato East, Mayo was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the John Marshall Rockets by a score of 10-6. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won nine in a row.

Mayo's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for John Marshall, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mayo is set to take on their familiar foe Mankato East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, John Marshall will challenge rival Mankato West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
