Softball Recap: Heritage Christian Has No Trouble Against Providence Cristo Rey

Heritage Christian won the last time they faced Providence Cristo Rey and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles blew past the Wolves 20-2. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Hannah Tesnar made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Sela Barrow was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Harper Drook was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs.

Heritage Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .833. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Heritage Christian's record now sits at 4-8. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Heritage Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-4 win against Christel House on the 3rd. As for Providence Cristo Rey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Irvington Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
