Mitchell typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Avery County proved too difficult a challenge. They took their match with ease, bagging a 60-28 victory over the Mitchell Mountaineers. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 24 points or more this season.
Leading Avery County to victory were Maddy Barrett and Caroline Hollifield. Barrett went 7-for-13 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Hollifield went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points and three steals.
