It was fun while it lasted, but Whitmore Lake's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Thursday. They took a blow against the Skyline Eagles, falling 41-11. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Whitmore Lake fell to 4-1. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Whitmore Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Skyline, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Skyline Eagles duke it out with the Hamady Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hamady's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Skyline's offense will have their work cut out for them.
