Curie and American Studies are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Curie hasn't scored more than 26 points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Two weeks ago, Curie had to suffer through a 67-15 loss at the hands of Frederick Douglass Academy III. While losing is never fun, Curie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 651st, while Frederick Douglass Academy III is ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for American Studies, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2025. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over Language & Tech two weeks ago.

American Studies pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Curie, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
