Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Academy Cougars vs. Westwood Wildcats

Grace Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Westwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Grace Christian Academy Cougars take on the Westwood Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Grace Christian Academy is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crisp Academy.

Grace Christian Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Chloe Brogdon, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. What's more, Brogdon also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Sybil Lee was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Grace Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Sherwood Christian Academy, falling 46-24.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Grace Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 64-9 loss at the hands of Westwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Grace Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
