Baseball Game Preview: Woodruff Wolverines vs. Broome Centurions

The Woodruff Wolverines will challenge the Broome Centurions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Woodruff is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

While Woodruff's win against Fox Creek wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Woodruff came out on top in a nail-biter against Fox Creek on Friday, sneaking past 6-4. While the Wolverines didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Broome fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Chesnee on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6.

Dylan Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Broome's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Woodruff, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
