Volleyball Game Preview: West Shamokin Wolves vs. Forest Hills Rangers

The West Shamokin Wolves will face off against the Forest Hills Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

West Shamokin took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Tyrone as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills made easy work of Penn Cambria on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Forest Hills not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Penn Cambria between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.

West Shamokin better focus on containing Morgan Gdula and Taylor Snyder as the pair were huge in Forest Hills' win. Gdula had ten digs, while Snyder had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Snyder has posted since back in September.

West Shamokin's victory bumped their record up to 19-2-1. As for Forest Hills, their win bumped their record up to 23-5-2.

West Shamokin couldn't quite get it done against Forest Hills in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
