For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Meigs County and Polk County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Tigers walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Meigs County moved to 11-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Polk County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Meigs County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
