Basketball Recap: Spain Park Jaguars vs. Carver Birmingham Rams
Spain Park gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Carver Birmingham Rams 47-18. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.
Leading Spain Park to victory were Ava Leonard and Lindy Easterling. Leonard posted 11 points along with three steals, while Easterling had 12 points. Leonard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Kamia Dawsey was another key player, posting six points.
Spain Park will take on Center Point at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carver Birmingham, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 30-20 loss against Mae Jemison on the 9th.
