Volleyball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Eastern Greene

Lighthouse Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-15, 25-10.

Taylor Helbert paced Lighthouse Christian Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Helbert got some help from Jane Holdeman and her 15 assists. Helbert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lighthouse Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Pleasant View Christian on the 19th. As for Eastern Greene, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Shakamak on the 19th.
