Volleyball Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Flowing Wells came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mountain View Mountain Lions, falling 3-0. The Caballeros have struggled against the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Flowing Wells ultimately came up short, they really made Mountain View work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 27-25.

Grace Howell paced Flowing Wells' offense, picking up five kills. Howell got some help from Rhyleigh Marshall and her 16 assists. Marshall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Leading Mountain View to victory were Pennylaine Buglewicz and Kaylee Olding. Buglewicz had eight digs and one block, while Olding had 17 digs and two aces.

Flowing Wells' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mountain View, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Flowing Wells is taking a road trip to square off against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Mountain View, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Marana on the 10th.
