Chatham Charter is 9-1 against River Mill since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will welcome the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

River Mill will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Chatham Charter extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Knights never let Northwood get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory.

Meanwhile, River Mill got the win against Central Carolina Academy last Thursday by a conclusive 15-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Lexi Melton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Summer Basden was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Anna Rominger, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

River Mill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Chatham Charter's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for River Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
