Baseball Recap: Highland Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Highland waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Blytheville Chickasaws get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Mason Sinclair, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Zac Huckabee also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Highland's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Blytheville, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
