Basketball Recap: St. Johns Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

St. Johns extended their postseason success on Friday against Glendale Prep Academy. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

St. Johns had a senior duo take command as Kaylee Pulsipher went 6-for-11 on her way to 12 points along with six boards and six steals and Evelyn Andrus dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hannah Farmer, who posted eight points and six boards.

St. Johns smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 30 consecutive matches.

St. Johns pushed their record up to 30-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points over those games. As for Glendale Prep Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Looking ahead, St. Johns will head out on the road to challenge Miami at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.3 points per game this season. Glendale Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
