Softball Recap: Camp Point Central Comes Up Short

Camp Point Central managed to slip by Liberty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Eagles on Friday, falling 14-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Camp Point Central moved to 13-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Camp Point Central will venture away from home to face off against West Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will welcome Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Saukees will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
