Basketball Recap: Rutland Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Rutland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 49-41 to the Crawford County Eagles on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Crawford County now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Rutland is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crawford County, they will square off against Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
