Baseball Recap: Weslaco Find Success

Weslaco won the last time they faced Hanna and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Weslaco Panthers came out on top against the Hanna Golden Eagles by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Diego Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Weslaco saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gael Villareal, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Weslaco now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hanna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Weslaco didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Donna on the 27th. As for Hanna, they have also already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Port Isabel on the 27th.
