While Brunswick didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Williamsport Wildcats on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Railroaders in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Sienna Russo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alexis Loy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Taylor Benson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Williamsport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brunswick will venture away from home to take on Francis Scott Key at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williamsport, they will head out to challenge Clear Spring at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
