Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Clovis North Broncos, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Broncos are ranked 11th).

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-12-4. As for Clovis North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-1-3 record this season.

Central will head out on the road to take on Clovis East at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is facing Clovis East at the right time seeing as Clovis East is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clovis North, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Clovis North's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last four contests.
