Bert Corona Charter proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Vanguards last Friday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Bert Corona Charter was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 15-8.

Bert Corona Charter pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valley Oaks CES, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

The future could be bright for both Bert Corona Charter and Valley Oaks CES: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Knights will try to hand Lakeview Charter their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
