MaxPreps is now on Pinterest, so come take a look!

MaxPreps is always keeping up with the trends online and therefore is jumping in to the new world of Pinterest, one of the web's newest sensations for social networking.

Whether you are a Pinterest user or not, be sure to find us on the site. Not sure how to do that? The 10th slide in the slideshow will take you exactly where you want to go. Click on any of the photos in this story to go directly to that pinboard.

So let's jump right into it and show you 10 celebrities (most of them high school athletes) on Pinterest:

First we have LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony in a high school matchup well before their NBA days. We can still see the two shake hands nowadays when the Miami Heat and New York Knicks do battle. James had stayed consistent with the 23 jersey until he moved to Miami, but Anthony never wore 22 in the pros or college.

Way back in 1995, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett probably didn't imagine that some day they would lead the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA title. In this photo, the two look like anything but two future teammates. They're still at it together in Boston.
{PAGEBREAK}This picture of Kobe Bryant was likely taken right before he became a pro. Back in Bryant's day, high school players could go straight to the NBA and he did just that, becoming the 13th overall draft selection in the first round (by the Charlotte Hornets). He got traded to the Lakers soon after that, and as the world has seen, he's still smiling in Los Angeles as he looks at his five championship rings.
{PAGEBREAK}There's that Bryant guy again. But this slide is just as much about him as it is his prom date. Brandy Norwood (better known as just Brandy) was (and still is) a star in television, music, modeling and dancing. Sure is one heck of a memory for all the other people who attended the prom as well.
{PAGEBREAK}Vinsanity wasn't known as Vinsanity in his high school days. Vince Carter, one of the most prolific dunkers in recent decades, is still in the NBA, doing his work these days for the Dallas Mavericks. But in this pic from the McDonald's High School All-American game, he's much slimmer and a whole lot younger.
{PAGEBREAK}Chipper Jones just announced that the 2012 baseball season will be his last. The sure-to-be Hall of Fame third baseman hardly came out of nowhere before he was drafted, as you can see in this 1990 magazine article about him.
{PAGEBREAK}Music stars who are also prep athletes make the list on Pinterest, as American Idol star Scotty McCreery is shown in this picture delivering a pitch for Garner Magnet (Garner, N.C.). McCreery has been featured in a pair of MaxPreps stories and his hit single "The Trouble With Girls" has earned him hours upon hours of radio time.

Yes, even the President of the United States of America is a force on Pinterest. The New York Daily News reports that his reelection campaign has gone to Pinterest in an effort to reach voters. He sure had a sweet 70s look going in this picture.
{PAGEBREAK}We just can't talk about high school sports and not put anything about "Hoosiers" because that wouldn't be right. This picture is a great one of Gene Hackman as he leads the fictitious Hickory High team.
{PAGEBREAK}And of course MaxPreps is on Pinterest so make sure to interact with us about all things high school sports-related.
