Basketball Recap: Davis County Comes Up Short

If Davis County was riding high fresh off their 48-23 takedown of Chariton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Davis County Mustangs fell to the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes 40-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-36 back in December of 2024.

Davis County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Davis County has already played their next contest (against Van Buren County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Centerville will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
