Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mark Keppel walked away with it. They blew past the Hillcrest Christian Saints 71-50 on Wednesday. The Aztecs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Hillcrest Christian lost, don't look at Will Friel. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points and six boards. Friel is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Reid, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks.

Mark Keppel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Hillcrest Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-15.

Mark Keppel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 win against Woodbridge on the 14th. Hillcrest Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
