Basketball Recap: Trinity Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Crockett came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Trinity, but Mariah Tyson wouldn't allow it. The Trinity Tigers enjoyed a cozy 50-34 win over the Crockett Bulldogs on Friday thanks in part to Tyson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 24 times she's played.

Paetyn Jolly was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave her a new career-high.

Trinity moved to 20-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Crockett, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Trinity Tigers face off against the Onalaska Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett has already played their next match (against New Waverly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
