After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Barnesville, Wheeling Central Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 28-20 win over the Martins Ferry Purple Riders. The victory continues a trend for the Maroon Knights in their matchups with the Purple Riders: they've now won four in a row.

Leading Wheeling Central Catholic to victory were Kade Koroneos and Nico Kusic. Koroneos gained 184 total yards and three touchdowns, while Kusic rushed for 132 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Koroneos also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Maroon Knights are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
