Basketball Recap: Miles Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Miles was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Winters on Tuesday. The Miles Bulldogs put the hurt on the Winters Blizzards with a sharp 42-21 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Blizzards are ranked 1099th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Miles is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points per game. As for Winters, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-20.

Coincidentally, Miles and Winters will both be playing Roscoe the next time they take the court. Miles will host Roscoe at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Winters will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on February 4th.
