Preview: Lummi vs. Almira-Coulee-Hartline

Lummi is hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 31.4 points per game. They will take on Almira-Coulee-Hartline in each of the teams' second playoff contest on Saturday. The stakes are high as both teams are all in, each fighting to extend its postseason success.

Last week, Lummi faced Neah Bay in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Blackhawks blew past Neah Bay 50-28. The score was all tied up at the break 28-28, but the Blackhawks were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Almira-Coulee-Hartline kept a clean sheet against Bridgeport. Almira-Coulee-Hartline took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66 to nothing win over Bridgeport. Brayton Schafer had a dynamite game for the Warriors; he rushed for 228 yards and four TDs on 12 carries. The Warriors received support from Schafer on the other side of the ball, too, as he amassed nine tackles. Not surprisingly, Schafer's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.

With both teams having displayed their playoff mettle, spectators can expect a high-quality game. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps.com for all the details.
