Recap: El Camino Wildcats vs. La Jolla Country Day Torreys
The El Camino Wildcats were the 65-59 winner over the La Jolla Country Day Torreys when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. El Camino took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of La Jolla Country Day on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points El Camino has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Ardent, who scored 13 points. Devin Mcgee was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
El Camino's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-5. As for La Jolla Country Day, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
El Camino won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mission Hills at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Mission Hills and El Camino are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for La Jolla Country Day, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Maranatha Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Maranatha Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 516th, while La Jolla Country Day is ranked 67th).
