Football Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Dallas Christian's Winning Streak

Dallas Christian and Lubbock Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dallas Christian had to settle for second. They took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Chargers, who until this game were averaging 14.08 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Dallas Christian still got an impressive performance from Luke Syvrud, who threw for 220 yards and a pair of TDs. Syvrud's passing game has become a key predictor of the Chargers' success: the team is 8-2 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
