Volleyball Recap: Cuyahoga Falls Takes a Loss

Cuyahoga Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Black Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

While Cuyahoga Falls was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Stow-Munroe Falls' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-15.

Lizzy Taylor paced Cuyahoga Falls' offense, picking up three kills. Taylor got some help from Iris Hite and her five assists. Holly Orsine controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Stow-Munroe Falls was led to victory by Zoey Mccullough and Carrie Winkler. Mccullough had seven aces and three digs, while Winkler had 15 assists. Those 15 assists gave Winkler a new career-high.

Cuyahoga Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cuyahoga Falls has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Max S. Hayes on the 21st. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Roosevelt on the 21st.
