The Orem Tigers will square off against the Wasatch Wasps at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Orem is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Orem sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over Idaho Falls.

The team relied heavily on Camber Hancock, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Mina Powelson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Wasatch fell victim to Ridgeline and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Riverhawks. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wasps were not able to get on the board.

Orem now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wasatch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Wasatch's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Orem has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Wasatch, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Orem keep running through batters, or will the Wasps buck the trend?

Orem was able to grind out a solid victory over Wasatch when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 10-6. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wasps turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
