Softball Game Preview: Tranquillity Tigers vs. Laton Mustangs

Tranquillity is 2-8 against Laton since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tigers will face off against the Mustangs at 9:00 a.m. Tranquillity has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Tranquillity's offense. They came up short against San Joaquin Memorial on Friday, falling 24-0.

Meanwhile, while Laton scored more runs than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They and Frazier Mountain finished up their contest with a 23-23 draw on Thursday. Even though they lost, the Mustangs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 9.8 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Tranquillity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. With that draw, Laton's record moves to 1-2-1.

Tranquillity couldn't quite finish off Laton in their previous matchup last Tuesday and fell 14-12. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
