Baseball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Joliet West Tigers

The Minooka Indians will take on the Joliet West Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Minooka has five straight victories, Joliet West has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Minooka is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Sandburg, who was ranked 25th at the time (Minooka was ranked seventh). The Indians walked away with a 6-1 win over the Eagles on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Joliet West didn't have quite enough to beat Bradley-Bourbonnais on Saturday and fell 8-7.

Joliet West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Minooka, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
